Set Design
The setting was like a mysterious nighttime type of vibe. It was a set design for "Fiddler on the Roof". It is a musical and set historical between 1894 and 1914. The atmosphere is mysterious, it has black, blue, pink and white colours to make the scene look more dramatic. They have used chairs, wooden tables and stalls to create the scene.
The setting looks more like a fantasy and wintry type of vibe. The colours in the scene are blue, black light-purple and white to make the scene more fantasy mood. They used brick boxes to make houses. a wooden table and other materials to use as part of the scene.
On Monday, myself and Felicity as a team discussed how we are gonna make our own animation scene. We came up with some ideas and wrote it down on the mindmap.
This is my sketch that I made, I added the train tracks, train, horse and other elements for my animation scene.
Narratives
A narrative is a structured story or account of events, experiences, or actions. It can be either fictional or nonfictional and it is often used to convey meaning, emotions, or messages. Narratives can be told from various perspectives and can take different forms, such as written texts, oral stories, films, or other media.
In essence, a narrative is how a sequence of events or experiences is communicated, often with characters, settings, and a plot that moves through conflict, climax, and resolution.
For example:
The Lost Letter
The sun was beginning to set as Emily walked home from school, her worn backpack hanging loosely on her shoulders. It had been an ordinary day—no surprises, no excitement—but that all changed when she spotted something unusual sticking out from beneath a pile of fallen leaves near the old oak tree at the corner of her street.
Curiosity piqued, Emily crouched down and gently pulled the object free. It was an envelope, yellowed with age, with the name “Hannah Miller” scribbled on the front in elegant cursive. Emily turned the envelope over and saw no address, just a simple small, crimson wax stamp. She paused. It was a mystery.
The air grew colder as she examined the envelope. It wasn’t addressed to anyone in her family, nor did she recognize the name. She glanced up and down the street, but the sidewalks were empty. Emily hesitated for a moment, then slid the letter into her pocket and began walking toward home.
When she arrived, her mother was in the kitchen, preparing dinner. “How was your day, sweetie?” she asked, her back to Emily as she stirred a pot on the stove.
“Fine,” Emily replied, distracted by the envelope. She walked past her mother, heading straight for her room. Once inside, she closed the door and sat down on her bed. The envelope seemed to hum with a quiet urgency, calling her to open it.

Paragraph
about brother’s quay
Stephen and
Timothy Quay) are American identical twin brothers and stop-motion
animators who are better known as the Brothers Quay or Quay Brothers. They
received the 1998 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Set Design for their work on
the play The Chairs.
In my opinion,
the picture looks a bit surreal, and the toys were broken. The colours were white,
dark grey and black.
Jan Švankmajer is a Czech retired film director, animator, writer, playwright and artist. He draws and makes free graphics, collage, ceramics, tactile objects and assemblages. In the early 1960s, he explored informel, which later became an important part of the visual form of his animated films.
In my opinion, this picture looks very creepy and a bit horrendous. The toys look very moulded. The colours were only dark brown and white for the background.

In a world where men run large corporations, one movie star has no choice but to bring down the goverment by eating her own husband. It turns out the men are all harmless.
Group painted scene
This is a group-painted scene that we designed during our art lesson. I was painting the background and a bit of the train tracks. I used the brush and oil paints to create the scene that we planned out. The colours which were used are blue, yellow, red, green, black, brown and white.

Final animation using Animate
To create my animation, I used Adobe Animate 2024 software. I watched the video tutorial and followed the steps accordingly to create my animation. I got a picture of the character and edited it so I could add some creativity to make it stand out. I used a Christmas theme as part of my animation. I downloaded the Christmas background so I can add it as part of my animation scheme.
History of Comics slide 3
Elements of comics slide 5
I learnt alot about the comic strip.
What is a comic strip?
A comic strip is a sequence of drawings in boxes that tell an amusing story, typically printed in a newspaper or magazine. I also learnt about comic strip vocabulary. To create my comic strip, I downloaded the comic strip image and labeled the features of a comic strip.
Motion Camera
So in today's lesson, we worked in groups to take photos of objects that were used to move around to create motion, so it looked like the objects moved rather than the person moving it.
So in today's lesson, we painted our models as the Modroc was dry and it was ready to use, so we could add paint to our models.
My model looks effective as I used different materials to create it. The items that I used to make my model were newspapers so I can dip the newspaper into the glue which is what I also used, I used masking tape so I can stick the newspaper bits onto my model, I also used the wires to put the newspaper on top to make the 3D model, next step I used the modrock ontop of the newspaper, once the modrock was dry, I used paint to finish off my model and it went really well.
I think the modrock will suit our scene.
List all sounds that you used
I used the bird sounds and mysterious music sounds to add to the Adobe Audition 2024 software
Process that you followed (steps)
I went to this website -> https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/search/soundscape/ to download the sounds that I wanted to add to Adobe Audition 2024. I then added the sounds that I got to the software and connected all the sounds to one track so I could listen to them at the same time.
Show screenshots of your editing process

Comment on what went well and also what problems you had to overcome.
The website was easy to use, so I could download the sounds that I wanted, and the software wasn't hard to use, so overall, there were zero problems.
What is your opinion of the final piece, and how could you improve it if you were to do it again?
I would mix two different sounds in one song, so it looks amazing. Overall, the sounds that I added were interesting to look at.
