This is one of my art work where I used different types of materials such as chalk pastels, felt tip pens and oil pastels to make different shapes and smudge the colours to get used to the materials and learn to create different drawings.
For today's task, I looked up on the internet, inspirational people related to music. The musician that I chose is Neil Pearty who plays the drums. I went online to get a picture of him, then I went to photoshop to paste the picture and used different tools to make it look very good.
On Monday I was designing a portrait with a grid and adding colours to my work. I had to use a ruler to draw the lines, I used a spare paper to overlap on top of the grid paper so I can carefully connect the lines together and make it look clear.
Who is Michael Jordan?
Micheal Jordan is known to be the best basketball player of all time. He was a four-time gold medalist with USA basketball, including winning two olympic golds and was twice named the USA basketball Male Athelte of the year. The reason why I chose him is because he is very good at basketball and is very inspiring as he has helped a lot of young people to get into basketball.
Who is Ringo starr?
Ringo starr is a british musician, singer, songwriter, and actor who was the drummer for the beetles, one of the most influential bands in rock history. He also found success in a solo career.
Starr's playing style, which has influenced many drummers to reconsider their playing from a compositional perspective. He also influenced various modern drumming techniques, such as the matched grip, tuning the drums lower, and using muffling devices on tonal rings.
One of Ringo's great qualities was that he has composed very unique and stylistic drum parts for the beatles songs. His parts are so signature to the songs that you can listen to a Ringo drum part without the rest of the music and still identify the song.
On Monday, I used tracing paper to trace around the picture of a famous person I found that was inspiring. So firstly I had to trace around a photo of an inspirational person I chose. Then I used a collage to develop it and design it more. After I got some coloured paper and traced around the picture of my inspirational person. I cutted around it afterwards and got some PVA glue to stick it on the paper.
Who is Bisa Butler?
Bisa Butler is an American artist who has created a new genre of quilting that has transformed the medium. Although quilting has been long considered a craft, her interdisciplinary methods which create quilts that look like paintings have catapulted quilting into the field of fine art.
I think it looks very good and the reason why I chose this picture because it looks colourful and very well designed.

On Monday I was recreating my artwork with the same inspirational person that I chose but using techniques from a different artist called Julian Opie. I did some tracing around the paper of my inspirational people, i had to overlap another piece of paper so I can trace it carefully.

Steph Curry is a professional basketball player who plays for the Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry's influence on the sport of basketball
and the NBA is recognised as transformational. Over the years, his impact
on the game and his role in popularising the three-point shot has fundamentally
changed the way basketball is played. I chose him as my inspirational person because he plays alot of basketball and is very good.
Who is Andy Warhol?
Andy Warhol is known for his bright, colourful paintings and
prints of subjects ranging from celebrities including Marilyn Monroe and
Mohammed Ali, to everyday products such as cans of soup and Brillo pads. But
behind these iconic images are some surprising approaches and ideas. Andy Warhol turned to his most notable style photographic
silkscreen printing in 1962. This commercial process allowed him to easily
reproduce the images that he appropriated from popular culture.
I chose these artworks because it looks very colourful and it has different designs and patterns to make it look good.
Block Printing
First, I used styrofoam to make a pattern as part of my art work. I got some paint and put it on the paper, I only used one colour which was blue.
Evaluation
1. I chose Kobe Bryant because he is very good at basketball and he has helped alot of people who support him as part of the team community.
2. I made a magazine cover on my inspirational person Kobe Bryant.
3. I looked up some magazine covers to see how they are made, then I decided to make a magazine cover by myself to make it good and add information about the inspirational person.
4. I researched about Kobe Bryant on who he is and what he does, I found out he is a professional basketball player. The research was useful as there was a lot of information about what he does and how long he has played basketball.

6. I learned a little bit about how to use photoshop as I was making a magazine cover on my inspirational person.
7. I didn't know how to use photoshop as I was designing my magazine cover.
8. I dont know if I really want to redo the process again but if i do, then I would need to listen more and learn how to use photoshop so next time i wont need much help on it.
I like my artwork that I made on Monday and chose Steph Curry as my inspirational person.
